Standard 4 Reflection
Education Courses & Field Experience
Artifact Description
This artifact shows all of the courses I have completed at College of Menominee Nation, and that I understand the central concept and structures focusing on human development and methods courses. Sharing my unofficial transcript shows in what areas I have gained knowledge. The second part to this artifact is my field experience forms that I have completed upon this point at CMN. These show all the hours I have spent in different classrooms- observing, interacting, teaching and most importantly, learning!
Alignment Reflection
This artifact is aligned with the INTASC standard 4: Content Knowledge. This artifact follows this standard because it verifies that I have completed the required courses to earn my associates degree in Early Childhood Education. It also shows that I am currently working on my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with the multiple courses I have completed for my second degree. The second part of this artifact is my field experience forms I have completed to this date. This shows how many hours I have spent in the classroom, experiencing firsthand understandings.
Personal Reflection
This artifact holds so much information. Looking back, I got to experience so much through my observations. I got to observe children birth- fifth grade (10-11 years old). I had the opportunity to observe not only at schools but daycares, head starts and tribal schools. Throughout my time at the multiple schools, I gained lots of knowledge. The cooperating teachers were always supportive and giving me different advice and feedback. Spending time in multiple classrooms is huge; I learned a lot of values during my time in the classrooms. I got plenty of information that I know I will use someday in a classroom of my own.
